At Stubbers we regularly check and maintain our safety equipment to the highest standards and ensure that it is continually safe and reliable. Following training, staff are regularly monitored to ensure standards are maintained.

What should we wear?

You will need long sleeves and trousers for some activities. Footwear is required on all activities and needs to be enclosed (flip flops are a big no-no). Bring plenty of clothes and a bag for your wet and muddy clothing. Remember, it’s better to have too many layers than too few!

What if a child can’t swim?

Our site is very safe so you don’t need to be able to swim to take part. If you’re ever near water, we make sure you will always wear a buoyancy aid or life jacket. If you think you will need extra assistance, please let us know.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Most activities are not affected by the weather as long as you are dressed appropriately. If an instructor feels that you are too hot, cold or wet they can shorten or change the activity for another. If you are worried about the weather conditions please call us on 01708 224753.

What if a member of the group has a medical condition?

On arrival you will be issued with green wristbands. Please ensure any group members with a medical condition wears a green wristband. This is so the instructors can identify them. If you require extra assistance please advise us in advance so we can make provisions prior to your arrival.

Can you participate with a disability?

At Stubbers there is something for everyone. Most activities can be tailored to all ability levels and some are supported by specialist activity equipment, including specialist sailing boats and access hoists. Please make sure prior to your visit you fill out an additional needs form.

What if a member of the group doesn’t want to participate in a certain activity?

We want to ensure everyone has an enjoyable day and takes something away with them – that’s why we believe in challenge by choice. Our staff can advise on how best to participate on a level that is comfortable for you. This way everyone contributes and all contributions are valued.

Do we mix with other groups?

There’s a chance you will be sharing an activity area with other guests. However, you will have your own instructor who will be focused solely on your group.

Can the adults join in the activities too?

At the end of an activity once all the children have had a go and time permitting, adults are free to have a turn. On certain water spots this is not permitted due to safety ratios.
