INFORMATION FOR SCHOOLS & YOUTH GROUPS

The Department of Education continues to advise against domestic (UK) overnight and overseas educational visits at this stage (see coronavirus: travel guidance for educational settings).

However, the Government’s have made the decision to put a roadmap in place to restart the sector in Easter 2021.

UK Outdoors, as part of the newly formed School Travel Sector Stakeholder Group (STSSG), will be working with the Department for Education and building the roadmap for the restart of residentials in Easter 2021, including:

  1. A full framework for the safe reintroduction of domestic residential visits
  2. Approval of sector COVID-safe protocols
  3. Public Health England’s scientific guidance
  4. Interim holiday cancellation insurance
  5. Raising the profile of outdoor education’s positive contribution to children’s wellbeing across Government Departments and External Organisations
  6. We will continue to closely follow government advice and look forward to welcoming groups to our centres for non-residential visits soon.

  • Took the kids there without booking in advance, arrived and easily booked in for the climbing and archery. The staff were all extremely helpful and great with kids.

  • We always have a brilliant time with our lads and ladies who have disabilities here. The staff are great. We enjoyed ourselves out on the sailing boats this time. The 4x4 driving is usually a big hit here.

  • Great place for families and groups to enjoy outdoor activities such as climbing, off road driving, canoeing, jet skiing, sailing, laser tag and loads more. The staff are always very willing to help out.
