RYA - Powerboat Driving Level 2

The two consecutive day RYA PB2 qualification is run with the endorsement of the  Royal Yachting Association. On completion of the course candidates receive a PB2 certificate, which is recognised worldwide as evidence of competency. It enables you to handle a powerboat up to 10 metres in length and help you gain your ICC.  

The course syllabus ensures that you will have the skills to check the weather forecast, calculate tides, use charts to identify safe water and understand the rudiments of the rules for prevention of collision at sea. You will learn to safely manoeuvre your PB at slow and at high speed as well as emergency procedures such as picking up a crew member overboard. 


Location
: Stubbers Adventure Centre. Meet at the Welcome Centre

Timings: 2 consecutive days. Course starts at 9:00am. 

Equipment provided: Powerboat, fuel, buoyancy aids, course written resources all provided by Stubbers. 

Own Equipment: You are welcome to bring your own approved buoyancy aids. 

Age: Age 16+. Candidates 16 and 17 years old are require responsible adult 18+ to be booked onto the course with them

Food: There is a coffee shop on site, or you may bring a pack lunch and refreshments.
