Paddlesport Instructor (PSI) Course
Overview:
The PSI course is designed for individuals interested in delivering paddlesport taster sessions, starter sessions, and short journeys in very sheltered water environments. This two-day course prepares candidates for their first paddlesport instructing role, ensuring they are “primed and ready” to lead introductory sessions.
Candidates will choose one type of stable craft for their personal paddling and rescue skills assessment:
- Kayak (closed or open cockpit), sit-on-top kayak, open canoe, or stand-up paddleboard.
You will need aleast 8-hour first aid Qualification
Course Details
Location: Stubbers Adventure Centre, meet at the Welcome Centre.
Timings: Course runs from 9:00 am to no later than 5:00 pm each day.
Age Requirement: 18+
Equipment: All equipment provided. Please wear appropriate clothing for water activities, and shoes are required.
Facilities: Toilets, showers, and changing rooms are available onsite.
Food: A coffee shop is available onsite, or you may bring a packed lunch and refreshments.
