We undoubtedly have a greater range of real adventure activities than any equivalent multi activity provider (don’t be fooled by provision lists that are padded out by minor activities such as circus skills). On multi-activity days we aim to ensure that visitors have an experience that includes a “high” activity (such as climbing), a water based activity and an activity with feet firmly on the land. We are unique in that we can offer all of Quad Biking, Jet Ski Driving and Land Rover Driving for ages 9 and above.

The Learning Outside the Classroom programmes that run in the autumn and spring take the adventurers into the woodland to enjoy more freedom and explore their creativity.

Each activity session will have a fun shakedown activity where the instructors can assess how to progress the session for the best outcomes for everyone. At the end we like to have a moment of reflection to help the adventurers relate their experience to the lessons learnt and most importantly how they can apply these to their own lives/environment.

Stubbers Adventure Centre maintains that every person has the potential to be a valuable contributor to the community and their environment, in whichever path they choose to follow. We lay the foundations for self-discovery and develop inherent skills within each person to help guide them along their way. We seek to inspire them to realise their full potential as an individual, and to flourish as a key member of any team.

Problem Solving

access for everyone…

At Stubbers Adventure Centre we believe in access for all, meaning having facilities and activities suitable for those with additional needs. Stubbers Adventure Centre prides itself in being:

We have wheel chair access throughout our site, disabled parking and disabled toilets available making your visit as comfortable as possible.

We have a number of suitable activities and special equipment to allow young people with any additional needs to get involved
in outdoor activities. Some of the activities available are sailing, kayaking, canoeing, rifle shooting, archery, inflatable rides, powerboat driving, 4×4 driving and much more.

Our staff are trained in additional needs awareness and how to adapt session. This means they can focus on ensuring your adventurer is having a fun, safe time.

Please note, due to the nature of adventure activities, some activities have pre requisite skills which will need to be taken into consideration when planning the day. Participation in activities may be adapted or changed in line with the needs of the adventurer. However, we will work with you to accommodate adventurers’ needs wherever possible and aim to maximise engagement, participation and success for all adventurers. Prior to your visit please fill in our Additional Needs Assessment form that can be found on the resources page.
