Early morning in the summer time at Stubbers and the sound of creaking limbs, grunting and groaning and the occasional expletive, welcome to Origin Ultimate Boot Camp.
The team at Origin identified Stubbers as the perfect venue to hold their morning (6 a.m.) and evening boot camp sessions. With its hilly terrain, assault course, gun run equipment and much, much more, it is the perfect place to make people suffer.
To the credit of several of the Stubbers team including centre manager Bob Edwards, they joined in with great gusto (most of the time). The idea was intense fitness training to encourage weight loss, toning, general health improvement and increased stamina.
The course was available on a single session basis or multiple sessions. Hailed as a great success we look forward to welcoming
Origin back soon.

Stubbers has long been renowned for family queue and go days and this year has had the opportunity to put on two, the biggest being for Proctor and Gamble with over 200 guests.
The actual capacity is for 1000 guests as we do like a challenge! Queue and go days provide the best of everything at Stubbers as the client books the activities they want and they remain exclusively theirs for the whole day. This format works particularly well for companies entertaining staff and their families as the children can go on most of the activities with their parents and as many times as they want.
Stubbers will always organize a good range of activities that take into account those who love heights, water, motor sport and all our land based stuff.
A group of over 100 people costs as little as £40.00 a head, the bigger the group, the cheaper it gets.
The team will also organise bouncy castles for the toddlers, barbeques for the hungry and soft drinks for the thirsty. Something for everyone and always a brilliant day out.
Stubbers has launched yet another new team build day in response to a repeat customer needing something different. Assistant Centre Manager Andy White devised and ran the day for client Pinnacle.
Named Industrial Espionage the day involves a morning of team challenges with debriefs designed to get the teams working together in harmony, followed by an afternoon of frantic action.
This kicks off with the teams completing blindfold 4×4 and powerboat challenges which lead them to blueprints of a rival company who are chasing a multi million pound contract. The challenges involve a blindfold driver who must implicitly follow the instructions of theirsighted team mates to arrive at the site of the blueprints. In the case of the powerboat team, they are given photos of identification buoys to take them on the correct route.
The retrieved blueprints then have to be worked from accurately to construct viable team watercraft which must be tested and proven to be fit for purpose to achieve success and win the contract.
This is a great day for building up trust and understanding between the team in the morning before working on the accuracy of information sharing and communication.
This is now the fifth specialist team build day unique to Stubbers Training Ltd sitting alongside I’m at Stubbers get me out of here! The Golden Orbs and Great Escape, Vital Delivery and Operation Live Wire.
For information on any of these days and to discuss any specific outcomes required, please contact

Breaking news. The local authority has accepted the bid made on behalf of Stubbers Adventure Centre and we hope to finalise details of the purchase over the next couple of weeks.
Centre Manager Bob Edwards attended the cabinet meeting where the decision was made and the council were unanimous in their support of the good work done by Stubbers and very pleased that it will be continuing to provide for the young people of the area.
The purchase will take Stubbers into the next phase of its development where facilities and accommodation can be improved.

That’s the question we are asking all our loyal customers, fans, visitors and acquaintances of Stubbers Adventure Centre as part of our “Save Our Stubbers” campaign.
If you haven’t already – please sign the petition here and learn more about the sale of the Stubbers land by Havering Council.
We would like to share your thoughts, pictures, drawings with the world and show not only Havering Council what Stubbers is all about but pull together as a community and find out more about individuals and Group experiences, past and present.
For the last 15 years we have been lucky enough to welcome many different, schools, groups, families and individuals to the Stubbers Centre and hope to do so for many more years to come!
You will also shortly be able to download a paper petition to hand out at your School, office or community gathering.
Please send any details to info@stubbers.co.uk with the heading “What does Stubbers mean to you?”

You may have heard via our Facebook page, that Havering Council have put the land that Stubbers Adventure Centre is on up for sale to the highest bidder!
Stubbers Adventure Centre has been operating under charitable status for over 15 years. It supplies a valuable learning resource to local schools and families who would not otherwise have the opportunity of outdoor education in the area.
Stubbers has asked on numerous occasions to be given the opportunity of purchasing the freehold from Havering Council, to ensure the on-going availability of a proven and much loved resource.
We are therefore asking you to sign the petition to demonstrate the high regard in which Stubbers is held by the local community and to stress that to sell to the highest bidder regardless of their intentions, threatens the future of Stubbers as an outdoor centre in a world where so many irreplaceable assets have already been irrevocably disposed of.
It is our intention to ensure that Stubbers remains in the hands of Essex Boys and Girls Clubs, run as a not-for-profit outdoor centre and that securing its long term future will lead to long term investment to the benefit of the entire local community.
We need your help!
We have launched a “Save Our Stubbers” badge that you can put on your website with a link to this post and various other details to spread the word and SAVE OUR STUBBERS!
You can get the code here Support Stubbers with a Badge for your website or download a copy of the badge.
