RYA Personal Watercraft Competency

This 1 day or 2 evening course gives you a great introduction to Personal watercraft (jet ski) for those with little or no experience. By the end of the course you will be able to safely helm a Personal watercraft inland or on the coast. Held on our Motor sports lake at Stubbers the course includes, low and high speed manoevers, coming alongside, weather and tides and rules of the road including legal requirements.

British Canoe Union 1 Star Course

This 1 day course gives a great introduction into Paddlesport for those with little or no experience. By the end of the course you will have paddled different types of craft and will have an understanding of basic manoevers and paddling technique. Held on our training lake at Stubbers the course includes, forwards and reverse paddling and capsize drill.

RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing)

This 2 day course gives a great introduction for those wishing to learn to sail with little or no experience.  By the end of the course you will have an understanding of boat handling and basic manoevers in light winds.  Held on our sailing lake at Stubbers the course includes, launching and recovery, rigging and sailing up and down wind.

Bushcraft Adventure Weekend

Learn a range of outdoor survival skills. This weekend course includes an overnight bivouac, fire making, shelter building, camouflage, navigation and foraging skills. The weekend costs £150 and is run by an experienced Bushcraft Instructor.  You will need to bring your own food and be prepared to accept a variety of outdoor challenges in all weather conditions.  Friday night to Sunday afternoon. Age 9+ (under 16′s accompanied by an adult)

Half Term Activity Week

OK, we probably shouldn’t mention “back to school” just yet but we would like to let you know what’s coming up in September at Stubbers so you don’t miss out on all the fun and action!

We are still running Holiday Activities right up until the kids go back to school, so if your little angels want a taste of our fantastic, action packed activity weeks why not book a days taster for them? At only £36 for a days Adventure it is perfect getaway from Mum and Dad for the day!

We also run Watersports weeks Level 1 and 2 on alternate weeks throughout the Summer Holidays. Price per week is £145 for 11 – 16 year olds. Dates for your diary:

Water sports week 1 – Beginner: Start dates – Mon 25th July, Mon 8th August and Mon 22nd August.

Water sports week 2 – Improvers: Start dates – Mon 1st August, Mon 15th August and Mon 29th August.

Summer Holiday Activities

Throughout the Summer School Holidays Stubbers runs an Activities club for 9-16 year olds at the Stubbers Adventure Centre HQ in Upminster, Essex.  Drop off after 8.30, pick up before 6pm. With activity options to suit everyone, and a flexible programme to ensure that everyone will enjoy themselves.

Price: £145 for the 5 day week Monday – Friday or just £36 for a day Adventure!

The week and activity days are carefully planned and supervised by professionally trained staff and include motorsports and can include some off site activities. A great way to meet new friends and spend time with old ones.
